4Flicklock is great!Oct 20, 2005
By S. Sliva
I've had enough adjustable poles with screw adjusts break or slide to love the flicklock adjustment. Occasionally (once a season) you might need to tighten the screw, but otherwise the thing is rugged and easy enough to adjust with gloves on-- and it never slips.

I've owned two pairs of these, bought a couple years apart. The baskets and grips are pretty unspectacular. The poles are pretty standard aluminum, but not too heavy. I've folded the top of one pole and bent slightly one bottom, but between the two sets I still have three complete poles. The halves being interchangeable even though the graphics and baskets changed over the years has been a nice feature as I've abused these.

5Good polesOct 26, 2011

I like these poles a lot. They're sturdy enough and easy to adjust. I like smaller poles when skiing the bumps, and it's no problem with these event when wearing gloves. For travel I stick them in the ski bag after collapsing all the way. Take up less space and less chance of bending the. And if the lower part is damaged - for ~$10 you can get a replacement. Also used them for hiking White mountains.

4Great Poles!Feb 13, 2010

These are great all around poles. I don't really like the standard baskets, but for a little extra (about $5 each pair) you can get small disc baskets for firm days, and functional powder baskets for the big dump.
