Do not let the thinness fool you. I wore these in -2°F weather and never felt like my feet were in ice blocks. I wore them snowboarding and they kept my feet warm and dry. Really great socks! They are rather snug though (I got a medium and I am a woman's shoe size 8.5).

The sock does the job of keeping my feet warm. They seem to run on the 'a little too snug' side. I ordered a medium and sometimes if felt like it was cutting off my circulation.... oh well. I wear these as normal socks. I have since purchased another pair, but larger.
