The Best CoatMar 30, 2010
By Nora I wrote my original review two years ago. I still wear and love this coat. It has not fallen out of fashion and i still get complements while remaining toasty warm.
First review: I originally balked at the price but I knew I would have to pay a lot for a long down coat. I could not believe how light weight it is. It is warm, flattering, very easy to wear. My work colleagues were jealous. We seem to have been in a down coat competition this year. Mine is the longest and keeps my legs warm. I have received complements on this coat from strangers in the street.

so warm and light weight!Dec 13, 2010
By dramaticliz My boyfriend bought me this and gave it to me as my early Christmas gift, I absolutely ADORE it! Its lightweight, warm and stylish. I have tried other down coats and they are bulky and make me look like the staypuff marshmallow man, but this is warm without the added bulk! I can wear a sweater and it still does not look bulky and awkward, and with the 800 down fill it is ultra warm when walking through the frigid streets of new york city! I cant believe I waited this long to get this coat. All the years of freezing from the waist down are over! I highly recommend it!

NOT WARM...AT ALL!!!Jan 08, 2012

It may be 800 fill power, but what they fail to tell you is there is almost NONE OF IT. "800 fill power" indicates the PER OUNCE warmth of the down. If they put very little down in the coat, you're still frozen! And that is what you have in this ripoff of a so-called winter coat. I thought surely at this price it would be warm, but it is not even close. It is a beautiful coat...a FASHION coat...not a warm coat. It is going back as fast as I can get it there.

Lightweight, warm and nice!Jan 15, 2012
By Anna P I bought this parka for my mom. It's really nice. She liked the color and the style. It's warm without making you huge and it's rather long. It goes just true to Patagonia size chart.
gorgeous coatApr 05, 2012
By C00kie I ordered this coat on sale in the spring, so haven't been able to test it in cold MN winter weather. Although, after trying it on and seeing how gorgeous it is, I was almost longing for some cold weather so I could wear it! The material is soft, and the gray color is more of a gunmetal gray. I think it will be versatile. I love that it falls below the knee. I could see myself spending a lot more time in frigid weather with this baby! The pockets are also lined with a soft fleece-like material. Overall a very nice design and beautiful coat. My only mark against it is the high price, but I imagine I'll get years of use out of it.
