a little draftyMar 10, 2010
By Jen I live in Chicago and looked at multiple reviews before purchasing this coat, but was disappointed when I tried it for myself. I was excited to find a coat with 800 fill that was longer and had elastic cuffs. I tried to talk myself out of the fact that I love having a hood. But, the other thing that disappointed me was that the length really didn't help much. the coat was drafty from below and my legs were pretty cold, especially when the wind was blowing. If you want a coat to keep your legs warm, you just need something longer than this. The description said knee length, but I'm 5'6" and it was mid-thigh. It's a nice coat- very lightweight and comfortable, but didn't keep me as warm as I expected with 800 fill. And has no hood.

love the look and feel and weight of this coat, but it's drafty, and I can feel the wind blowing through and from under. Doesn't keep my legs warm at all.

By Bozeman girl Like I say, know your product and designer and then find it on Amazon. This was exactly what I had seen in a Patagonia store. Excellent quality. I was very pleased with the coat.
lightweight but warmJun 02, 2011
By Suzanne Love this coat because it's not bulky like many winter coats. I'm usually outdoors for just about 30 minutes at a time and it's kept me warm even when it's well below zero in Alaska. It scrunches up nicely and so it travels well.(doubles as a blanket in flight and stuffs into a carry-on) I also own a shorter version in espresso.
