My husband researched ultra-thin base layers quite a bit and concluded this was one of the best. I've since purchased several, including the heavier Expedition Weight, by the same company. The Capilene 3 base layer is the same thickness as a regular long-sleeved t-shirt, but lighter weight, more form fitting, and moisture wicking. Perfect for hiking, skiing or running in colder weather. Makes a regular sweater feel thermal when warn underneath. Helps you skip a jacket on cold but not freezing days.
My only complaint is that instead of being odor resistant, this shirt seems to trap body odor under the arms more than my regular shirts. So washing after every wear has been a must.
