A Pleasant SurpriseFeb 07, 2012
By Anisaze I bought these gloves to replace a pair that I had from North Face and was searching for something a little cheaper because I tend to lose them a lot. This fit that bill and more. The fingers are a little wider than the North Face glove, so they fit my hand just a little lose, and the fabric is just a little thicker, so they fit snugly inside my ski gloves, but the touch screen capability is super convenient (and I didn't know they'd have that feature) and works really well.
Overall a perfect investment for my purposes.

By Douglas Baxter I have always loved the Mountain Hardwear Power Stretch Gloves. They fit very closely, but move extremely well, allowing you to retain a good amount of dexterity. I can easily tie my shoes while wearing them. The lightweight ones worked for everything but really cold walks, and for that, I would switch to the heavyweight. They cost more, but the fit and function made them worthwhile in my book. Although the L.L. Bean powerstretch gloves are mighty nice as well.
Just got a new pair of the heavyweights - and something is very different. I've always gotten the large size. But these are huge! They are not form fitting, and extend a good half-inch beyond my fingers. There's no comparison between all of the other pairs my wife and I have bought over the years. And yes, I carefully checked the size on what I own, what I ordered, and the label on the new gloves. Perhaps the gloves were mislabeled, and maybe they are an extra large? If not, then something is very different. Either way, I am disappointed.
