Buy this Down Coat over the other company...Feb 18, 2011
By petitetteacher17 I have searched for, bought and tried many other high-end company down coats. This is the warmest coat of them all. The down coat is so light and you actually can move in it. I am a preschool teacher who stands outside for hours during the winter months. I am so warm and in-style while wearing my Mountain Hardwear Downtown Coat. I am petite, four feet eleven inches, 30 inch waist and a double D chest. The Large size is slightly roomy allowing for real clothes to be worn underneath. The top-down, button-up zipper is key. I typically purchase TNF brand for outside gear. Having bought and tried numerous versions of their style of the Downtown Down Coat just does not compare. Theirs made me cold, felt like armor and just was not worth the $300 price tag. So happy that I stepped outside the TNF box and bought a Mountain Hardwear Coat. Hope your as happy with your gear as I am. Cannot wait to purchase more Mountain Hardwear brand gear.

NEVER COLD IN THIS!!!Mar 28, 2011
By Katherine26 I purchased this coat when I was moving from the south to New England. I was so scared that I wouldn't be warm- no matter what coat I bought. I WAS WRONG! This coat keeps you warm- even in the blizzards we've had this winter. The fit is amazing and you don't look like a giant marshmellow in it. I purchased a large, but since living here have lost 40lbs. There is a inner drawstring at the waist and I've tightended that up all the way. Its not super fitted now, but I still have a waist. I'll be rebuying this in a small or medium before next season for sure!

Love it!Feb 20, 2011
By Athena I purchased this up in Oregon and I don't feel like I could have made a better purchase. The top inside is soft and cozy and definitely an added plus. The white is very sexy and elegant but does get dirty quick. I am wondering if one of those tide stain pens will work so I don't have do deal with dry cleaning it too often! I am only 5'3" and it really does look beautiful. I would not hesitate to purchase it. I wish it was waterproof and I am looking into if it will damage it if I spray it with a "water proofing" spray. The fake fur zips off as well as the entire hood if you like. The inside has a cord around the waste to make it look a bit more figure flattering and not like a puff ball!

Great coat...Jul 04, 2011
By CONTRERAS MARY I. I love this jacket. The first time I wore it, I accidentally stained it with paint. When I got home, I just cleaned it with a damp cloth and the paint came off perfectly. It dried super quickly, same thing happens with rain. I would buy another one again!
