Excellent way to stay warmAug 08, 2011

In the past years I had doubted the power of down vests until I borrowed my friend's last year. Now, I wish I had found out about it earlier. I guess the most important thing to keep warm is your core/chest.
I shopped around for a lot of vests and I am very happy with the craftsmanship and fabric of this vest. The Marmot Down Vest is made of quality down that can be compressed for packing, but will and keep you warm in freezing temperatures. I wore this (with a long sleeve shirt) on a camping trip when temperatures dipped down to low 30s and it kept me pretty warm. It got too hot to wear on hikes in 60-70 degree weather. It fits comfortably. It does run a little larger, but I suppose if you layer up underneath, it will fit well.

Very nice vest. Supper warm and well made, a bit on the small Side, glad I ordered 1 size larger than I wear, but then I do wear it over two layers. Recommended!
