Great looks and nice design but didnt work for meFeb 07, 2012
By Shawn I needed to upgrade my Bolle basic goggles to something better. These goggles have an impressive design and sexy looks of the very expensive Oakley's but at no-Oakley price. With the fresh snow on the mountain, I could not wait to try them on and join the other cool snowboarders.
Out of box, the design and quality appeared to be nice. I noticed that there was a black plastic frame on the inside the goggles. While the outside lens is full length, the view was limited to essentially looking through two holes from the inside frame. I figured this is probably removable. When I tried them on at the ski resort, the lenses quickly fogged up. I figured that the lenses will clear up after a few minutes but that never happened. After nearly crashing a couple of times due to impaired view, I took them off and snowboarded without them. A couple of hourse later, I tried them again thinking that the goggles needed to adjust to the cold temps. That didn't help either. Also, these goggles are not designed for use with helmets. The thin flange leaves a significant gap between the eye socket and the helmet.
I'd have to admit that these are good looking goggles and I love the tint and the frame colors. The variable lighting design does work. I really wanted to keep them but couldn't make them work for my situation. Perhaps your situation is different and these would work for you.
